[Mccoypottery-talk] McCoy Tepee

Thanks Tim!
I am in love with it, literally! Such a neat old jar. As I said, I've seen
it in the books, but not a real one. And I've been to several of the
Roseville McCoy auctions too!
The Tulip Form is in good shape although I didn't really like the colors,
sorta plain. The Chrysanthemum with the broken leaf glued back on may be my
purchase for "me" since it probably will go low.
I don't know if it's legal or not, but there's a gal at this auction that
bids against me on all the pottery and we talked this week and I'm not going
to bid for Roseville or Weller any more and she isn't going to bid for Hull
or McCoy. We have enough competition from the others without going against
each other.

Jennifer;
A friend just paid $135 for a Tepee jar at auction , in very similar
condition to the one you describe. Tulip form vases can run from $40
to whatever 2 people are willing to pay, as do most items at auction. ;>)

A Tepee Cookie Jar with a crack on the side on the bottom half running
around an inch down (very old crack) from the top of the bottom part.
Otherwise in perfect condition.
Worth? I'd never even seen one before other than in the books, so I have
no idea of the value of this one.
It's going to be at an auction in 3 weeks, and I wondered.
Also at this auction is going to be the Deer Planter in good shape, the
Setter Planter (Setter's head put back on very well done though), Tulip Form
planter and a Chrysanthemum planter with one of the leaf tips glued back on.
Any idea of worth of any of these would be appreciated.
  I REALLY want that Tepee!!!
