Couple of things.. Christmas is a BUSY time for the USPS, especially
for anything parcel post or priority mail. Things can be delayed,
however 2-3 days is the norm for Priority mail, even at Christmas time,
so I would be a bit worried. Next, did you purchase this via PayPal
with a CC? If so you can dispute the charges. Also, look on the
sellers auction. Did they offer PayPal Buyer protection? I offer this
on ALL of my auctions. See here for more details:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidence/purchase-protection.html
If buyer protection was listed on the auction, you can make a claim
that route as well.. Look closely at the sellers feedback, and number
of items sold. What color star do they have? What is the feedback
rating? Are they PayPal verified? These things will help you
determine if this person is being honest or not. If they have no
history of being dishonest, it is possible things are lost or late in
the mail. Finally, you really should insist on a copy of the insurance
receipt. I keep these, (when someone asks for insurance) on file
forever. I have done some confirm receipt, ie., buyer has to sign for
the item shipments as well, and again, I keep this info on file.
So you have several options and things to look at. Do not get too
discouraged as you see there are several ways to get your money if the
item never arrives.
let me know if you have any other questions.
