A friend has the McCoy jar, his jar is "marked in gold on bottom: @1970 
United Feature Syndicate Inc.  World Rights Reserved  Made in USA"
Does anyone have this jar or have information on why it might have been 
marked in gold or were they all marked in gold?

He has had the jar for over twenty years and someone questioned the gold 
instead of black.
