Hello again,
Glad I could help! Is there any possibility you can send photo's? I could probably help you get a ball park value on the piece.
As for the mccoy name, its my last name. I met Nelson and Bille this past July and asked nelson about his family tree. He said a longggg time back, the family originally came from West Virginia, and my Dad's side of the family is still in west virginina, so ya never know, maybe somewhere on the family tree, our branches may have intertwined, lol

Hi Dave,
Thank you so much for the information. You have been an enormous help. There is no "line" name and the Loy Nel Art stamp was applied unevenly so that the rt of Art is not ledgible. I am going to try to sell this piece on Ebay and did not have a clue about how to research it's value. Are you a McCoy pottery McCoy? Thanks again,
Jim Ann

The glaze is glossy in dark earthy tones ranging from a coppery brown to an olive green. On the front of the piece are beautifully hand-painted (in glazes) grapes & vine leaves, again in earth tones. Can anyone give me some history on this piece? There are none of the regular McCoy pottery marks on the bottom and I have found nothing even remotely like it on Ebay.
