Hi there,

West VA? That would be Hatfield VS McCoy territory. I was fascinated with that feud when I was a kid - don't hear much about it anymore.

I would be so grateful for your help pricing this, Dave. I just spent 2 hours taking digital photos and then transferred them to my computer in the wrong format, so must start all over again. I'm an artist by profession
and came kicking and screaming to the digital/computer age. I guess right now I'm mostly screaming. ARGH!

How lucky you are to have met Billie and Nelson McCoy - they must have wonderful stories to tell!

I'll get right back to you with the photos as soon as I re-shoot.

All best,
Jim Ann

> As for the mccoy name, its my last name. I met Nelson and Bille this past July and asked nelson about his family tree. He said a longggg time back, the family originally came from West Virginia, and my Dad's side of the family is still in west virginina, so ya never know, maybe somewhere on the family tree, our branches may have intertwined, lol

I am going to try to sell this piece on Ebay and did not have a clue about how to research it's value. Are you a McCoy pottery McCoy? Thanks again,

The glaze is glossy in dark earthy tones ranging from a coppery brown to an olive green. On the front of the piece are beautifully hand-painted (in glazes) grapes & vine leaves, again in earth tones. Can anyone give me some history on this piece? There are none of the regular McCoy pottery marks on the bottom and I have found nothing even remotely like it on Ebay.
