Everyone!
I am in auction school this week, and am going to school with a well known
collector who knows them. Let me see what I can do from this end, okay?
I will give a bit of background on this seller "as I know it".
Peggy's father has one of the "large" McCoy and Hull collections in the US.
When Hull closed their doors, her dad and another fellow from what I
understand bought all the Hull paperwork, pottery, everything that was left.
I don't think they are crooks, but maybe are just caught up in life. This
doesn't excuse them at all, but may give a bit of background. They have a 4
year old little girl and have been dispersing a lot of the pottery on "Go
Antiques" for quite some time. Also if you go to "Go Antiques" you'll see
that they are the largest seller on Go Antiques.
I don't know what's going on, but have talked to him several times via
telephone in recent past. I know Chiquita knows them since she also has
bought pottery from them so maybe she can help as well.
Again, I wish I had known this because also another auctioneer who is very
well known in that area was at the school today and might have shed some
light.
Anyway, through someone perhaps we can find out what's going on. I'm sorry
you are having the problems you are having!
